Sustainable Development Goals

 

1- No Poverty:

 Ending the problem of poverty in all it is forms in the world. The importance of this goal is to ensure that all members of society have equal rights to all their economic resources. Verify the implementation of appropriate social protection systems for all (Department of Economic and Social Affairs of United Nations, 2021).0

2- Zero Hunger: 

Ending the problem of hunger and ensuring food security. The importance of this goal is to ensure ending hunger in all it is forms and ensure that all people have safe and nutritious food all year round. Take the necessary measures to ensure the proper functioning of the food commodity markets and food reserves (Department of Economic and Social Affairs of United Nations, 2021).

3- Good Health and Well-Being:

Achieving healthy lives for all and promoting well-being. The importance of this goal is to ensure reducing drug and alcohol abuse and promoting prevention and treatment.  Ensuring an increase in health financing and the recruitment and training of the health workforce (Department of Economic and Social Affairs of United Nations, 2021).

4- Quality Education:

Ensuring everyone has access to quality, comprehensive, lifelong education. The importance of this goal is to insure ensuring that both genders have access to free and high-quality education. Developing educational facilities that consider the needs of students, including children and people with disabilities, and providing safe educational environments for them (Department of Economic and Social Affairs of United Nations, 2021).

 

5- Gender Equality:

Ensuring gender equality and empowering all women. The importance of this goal is to ensure the end of all forms of discrimination against women around the world. Elimination of all forms of violence against all women (Department of Economic and Social Affairs of United Nations, 2021).

6- Clean Water and Sanitation:

Providing sustainable management of water for all and sanitation as well. The importance of this goal is to ensure ensuring equitable access to safe drinking water for all. Improving water and sanitation management through the participation of local communities in its improvement (Department of Economic and Social Affairs of United Nations, 2021).

7- Affordable and Clean Energy:

Ensuring universal access to modern and reliable energy. The importance of this goal is to ensure universal access to modern energy services at an affordable cost. Improving and developing infrastructure and raising the level of technology to provide modern energy services to all (Department of Economic and Social Affairs of United Nations, 2021).

8- Decent Work and Economic Growth:

Raising inclusive and sustainable economic growth and decent work for all. The importance of this goal is to ensure raising levels of economic productivity through diversification and technological upgrading. Facilitate access to banking services for all by strengthening and expanding the capacity of local financial institutions (Department of Economic and Social Affairs of United Nations, 2021).

9- Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure:

Creating a flexible infrastructure, developing innovation, and inclusive and sustainable industrialization. The importance of this goal is to ensure financial and technical support for developing and small countries. Supporting economic development by developing high-quality and sustainable infrastructure and ensuring it is accessible to all (Department of Economic and Social Affairs of United Nations, 2021).

10- Reduced inequalities:

 The problem of inequality within and between countries and its reduction. The importance of this goal is to ensure opening the way for all to social, economic, and political inclusion without discrimination. Achieving and ensuring equal opportunities for all without inequality in outcomes (Department of Economic and Social Affairs of United Nations, 2021).0

11- Sustainable Cities and Communities:

Cities and human settlements become inclusive, safe, sustainable, and resilient for all. The importance of this goal is to ensure providing access to adequate and safe housing for all. Emphasizing the efforts made to preserve the cultural and natural heritage of the world (Department of Economic and Social Affairs of United Nations, 2021).

12- Responsible Consumption and Production:

Maintaining sustainable consumption and production patterns. The importance of this goal is to ensure attempting to control and reduce waste generation and contribute to the spread of recycling and the use of resources. Using tools to monitor and develop sustainable development impacts to support sustainable tourism (Department of Economic and Social Affairs of United Nations, 2021).

13- Climate Action:

Take steps to address climate change and the impacts it may cause. The importance of this goal is to ensure awareness of people through education to reduce the effects of climate change and adapt to it. An attempt to make people's adaptation to climate-related hazards and natural disasters more resilient around the world (Department of Economic and Social Affairs of United Nations, 2021).

14- Life Below Water:

Conservation and sustainable use of seas, oceans, and marine resources. The importance of this goal is to ensure reducing and prevention of marine pollution in all it is forms. Helping artisanal fishermen gain access to marine resources (Department of Economic and Social Affairs of United Nations, 2021).

15- Life on Land:

Halting land degradation, protecting forests, and promoting the sustainable use of terrestrial ecosystems. The importance of this goal is to ensure Combating desertification, stopping deforestation, and restoring degraded forests, lands, and soils. Take the necessary measures to halt the loss of biodiversity and limit the degradation of natural habitats (Department of Economic and Social Affairs of United Nations, 2021).

16- Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions:

Ensuring access to justice of all kinds for all. The importance of this goal is to ensure Put an end to all forms of violence, abuse, and exploitation. Eliminate all forms of corruption and bribery and establish the necessary laws for them (Department of Economic and Social Affairs of United Nations, 2021).

17- Partnerships For The Goals:

 Ensuring global partnership for sustainable development. The importance of this goal is to ensure the marketing and encouraging investment in the least developed countries to ensure the continuity of sustainable development. Collect additional financial resources from several sources to help developing countries (Department of Economic and Social Affairs of United Nations, 2021).
